Summary
In a saturated mobile wallet market, the client, a prominent Thai retail conglomerate, aimed to establish a foothold with a new app. Despite being a late entrant, they possessed a significant advantage: their extensive retail network.
The objective was “To design the everyday mobile wallet for Thai consumers, which provides an easy, safe and fast way to make payments and includes features that Thai’s need and love”
The team has been engaged to assist in an expedited 10-week discovery phase of this project, focusing on understanding user needs, identifying competitive analysis, and delivering concept development.
Scope of work
- User research report summarizing interview findings and co-design workshop outcomes.
- User personas representing key user segments and their mobile wallet needs.
- Information architecture diagrams depicting the app's structure and content organization.
- Visual style guide showcasing the chosen design direction.
- High-fidelity mockups for core features of the MVP version.
- Clickable prototypes enabling user interaction testing.
- Usability testing report summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Design guidelines outlining visual style, UI components, and interaction patterns.
Timeline (10 Weeks):
- Week 1: Project kickoff meeting, defining personas, and customer immersion research.
- week 2: Ideation workshop and customer interview.
- Week 3-4: Defining Information Architecture, and delivering first key wireframes
- Week 5-8: Delivering wireframes with a weekly touch-base with the client team for feedback
- Week 7 & 9: Usability testing (divided use cases into 2 separate sessions).
- Week 10: Finalise deliverables, including research reports, design deliverables, and testing reports for the final presentation.
